Form is Feeling

- A Statement first Made by Kazimir Malevich.

The ability to create meaning using SiMple and Minimal shapes is the essence of what Adam seeks to achieve.

Inspired by Kazimir Malevich’s series of Black Squares, Adam studies whether there is a possible tangible relationship between the audience and Minimalist, Simplified, Pure shapes.

Malevich’s Black Square “follows the Suprematism guideline of rejecting reason. The black square represents a feeling, while the white border around it represents the void, showing that form does indeed mean feeling”.

Malevich’s Black Square provides immediate stimulus to This series

Can someone feel something for something so simple/minimal? Why does someone feel something for something so simple/minimal?

Do we need many shapes to create greater meaning? Do they need to be intricate to be valuable?

Does a colourful item offer more than a monochrome item? Does there need to be any colour?

Does it matter what material they are made from? Is value derived from material and media? Does a traditional or valuable medium confuse perception?
